Philippians: Jesus Our Joy – Philippians 2:19-24 – by Pastor Rudy Dolloso Jr. – Sunday, 03/21/2010

Philippians 2:17–30 presents three men whose lives are exceptional patterns for godly living. It highlights the apostle’s personal care for the Philippian church, as they seek to live lives worthy of the Gospel.

TIMOTHY
Timothy surrendered any personal plans he may have had for his life. He began a non-stop adventure that would bring him great fruitfulness and spiritual satisfaction, but that would also involve suffering and sacrifice.

Philippians: Jesus Our Joy – Philippians 2:15-16 –by Pastor Rudy Dolloso Jr. – Sunday, 03/14/2010

Christians are to live as lights in a dark world, shining witnesses to God’s truth. Our lives should be characterized by moral purity, patience, and peacefulness, so that we will “shine like stars” in a dark and depraved world.

Jesus is ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that we are to shine our lights in the midst of the darkness. And that is what He said that we should do with our lives as well (Matthew 5:14-16).
Are you shining brightly, or are you clouded by complaining and arguing? Shine out for God. Your role is to shine until Jesus returns and bathes the world in his radiant glory.

Philippians: Jesus Our Joy – Philippians 2:14 –by Pastor Rudy Dolloso Jr. – Sunday, 03/07/2010

God calls the believer NOT TO COMPLAIN.
not to be grumbling under your breath, not to be a person who gripes and whines and complains about everything.
We too sometimes tend to focus on the negatives rather than the positives of life. We murmur against the Lord when we should be praising Him for His countless blessings. We let ourselves be distracted by the disappointments and deprivations that God allows for our spiritual good.
